1. Who these terms are with
This website is operated by Quantum Stakes Oy, a private limited company registered in the Finnish Trade Register on 10 March 2021 with Business ID 3195161-8 and EU VAT number FI31951618, registered office Henry Fordin katu 5 C, 00150 Helsinki, Finland. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company. Contact: info@quantumstakes.net.
2. What this website is
This site describes our management consulting and head-office advisory services and lets an organisation contact us. It is information and an invitation to enquire. It is not an offer capable of acceptance, and using it does not create a contract, a retainer, or an adviser-client relationship of any kind.
3. Business-to-business only
Our services are offered to organisations acting in the course of their business, trade or profession. They are not offered to consumers. If you are enquiring as a private individual for private purposes, we are not the right firm for you and we will say so.
4. What we do not provide
This is the part worth reading twice. We do not, under any circumstances, provide:
- Financial services. We are not a bank, credit institution, investment firm, fund manager, payment institution, insurance intermediary or crowdfunding service provider. We hold no authorisation from the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority or any other financial regulator, and we do not act as a tied agent of anyone who does.
- Investment, securities or trading advice. Nothing on this site or said in a briefing is a personal recommendation, an inducement to acquire or dispose of any instrument, or investment research.
- Credit, lending or debt services of any kind, including arranging, brokering or introducing them.
- Gaming, betting or wagering services. Despite our company name, we hold no gaming licence and operate no gaming activity. In Finland such activity is separately regulated and we are not part of it.
- Legal advice or representation. Advocacy and the use of reserved titles are regulated in Finland; where a matter needs an attorney we will tell you and stop.
- Statutory audit or assurance. These are reserved to auditors entered in the auditor register maintained by the Finnish Patent and Registration Office. We are not in that register and do not perform audit work.
- Tax advice or tax opinions. We document structures and bases; your own tax adviser reviews and signs them.
5. No guarantees of outcome
Advisory work depends on facts we are given, on decisions taken by people we do not control, and on circumstances that change. We do not guarantee any commercial, financial, operational or regulatory outcome, and we make no representation about savings, returns, efficiency gains or valuations. Any figure discussed in an engagement is an estimate under stated assumptions, not a promise.
6. How an engagement actually starts
Only by a written engagement scope, signed by both parties. That document - not this website, not an email exchange, not a briefing conversation - defines the objective, the deliverables, the exclusions, the fee basis, the confidentiality terms, the liability position and how either side may end it. Where the engagement scope and these terms differ, the engagement scope governs the engagement.
7. Fees
We publish no rates or package prices, because a figure quoted before scoping would be misleading. Fees are set out in the engagement scope before work starts. We do not invoice outside an agreed scope without a signed change, and we take no commission, referral fee or success fee from any vendor, provider or counterparty.
8. Using this website
You agree not to:
- Use the forms to send unsolicited commercial messages, malware, or anything unlawful.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its API or its infrastructure, or to probe or test it without our written permission.
- Scrape or copy the site systematically for a competing service, or place unreasonable load on it.
- Misrepresent your identity or the organisation you are enquiring on behalf of.
We may block access where any of the above happens. Our API is provided for this website’s own use; it is not a public API and is subject to rate limiting.
9. Content on this site
The text, structure and design of this site are ours or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may read, print and quote from it with attribution. You may not republish substantial parts of it as your own or use our name or marks to imply an association that does not exist.
We try to keep the site accurate and current, and register data on the About page is checked against the public registers. If you find something wrong, tell us and we will correct it. Where this site and a public register disagree, the register is correct.
10. Links to other sites
Where we link out - to the Finnish Business Information System, to VIES, to the Data Protection Ombudsman - we do so because the destination lets you verify something we have said. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
11. Availability
We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, and we may update these terms. The version and date at the top of this page tell you which version applies; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the current version.
12. Liability
This website is provided as information. To the fullest extent Finnish law allows, we exclude liability for loss arising from reliance on the website alone, for indirect or consequential loss, and for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill. Liability arising out of an actual engagement is governed by the engagement scope and is not limited by this clause. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence.
13. Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, and what we store in your browser is set out in our Cookie Policy. Both form part of these terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Finnish law, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the District Court of Helsinki (Helsingin käräjäoikeus), unless mandatory law provides otherwise. Nothing in this clause affects rights a consumer would have under mandatory law - although, as clause 3 says, we do not contract with consumers.
